Intelligence and ingenuity combine with extraordinary clarity of design to give this frosty SWATCH Irony Chrono Retrograde its crisp and cool identity. The brown patterned leather strap is set off nicely by the white stitching and forms a classy and complementary contrast with the polished steel of the case. The stainless steel bezel shows engraved hour and minute markers with Arabic numerals at 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 minutes. The flange has fine white-on-grey indices from hours 10 through 2 in the upper half; the retrograde 30-second counter indices in the lower half has Arabic numerals (05,10, 15, 20, 25) and a grey-on-white seconds scale with red arrow highlights at zero and 30 seconds.The structured white dial presents the continuous seconds (petite seconde) counter at hour six, the sixty-minute arc at hour 10 and the five-minute arc at hour 2, each with structured dials, black Arabic numerals and indices and grey metal counters. Framing the subdials and counters are black Arabic numerals at hours 11 through 1; the Arabic 0 positioned at 3 oclock and the Arabic 30 at 9 oclock mark the start and end points of the 30-second counter and its black central hand. A stylish, elongated date window frames the petite seconde subdial, revealing black-on-white numerals. A small red arrow on the dial points to the date, and silver metal hour and minute hands with white superlite highlights mark the time of day.
